Group Tuition Policy, Terms & Conditions – Scientia Tutorials

Scientia Tutorials is committed to providing high-quality classroom tuition in small groups with experienced, dedicated, and student-friendly faculty members. Our objective is to create a disciplined, positive, and academically productive learning environment for every student.

To ensure smooth academic operations and maintain professional standards, students and parents/guardians are requested to carefully read and follow the following Terms & Conditions for Group Tuition.

Terms & Conditions for Group Tuition

1. Admission & Trial Classes

  1. Scientia Tutorials provides classroom tuition in small-group batches for personalized learning support.
  2. Student Registration Fee Payment of Rs. 500 – Group Tuition Admission – Pay the Student Registration Fee of Rs. 500 to confirm your seat in one Group Tuition batch at Scientia Tutorials. Students wishing to register for more than one group must complete a separate registration and payment for each additional group.
  3. Students are not required to pay any advance tuition fees for the 1st and 2nd classes.
  4. The first two classes will be treated as introductory/trial classes to evaluate the student’s comfort, understanding, and classroom experience.
  5. After completion of the 1st and 2nd classes, the management of Scientia Tutorials will contact students to collect feedback regarding:
    • Teaching quality
    • Learning experience
    • Classroom environment
    • Subject understanding
  6. The management will also discuss with the faculty regarding each student’s:
    • Classroom participation
    • Discipline
    • Learning attitude
    • Communication and behavior
  7. Parents/guardians may also be contacted regarding teacher feedback about the student.

Fee Policy

  1. Tuition fees must be paid within the first week of every month.
  2. Fees once paid are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.
  3. Students who fail to pay fees within the due period may not be allowed to continue classes until payment is completed.
  4. Any special fee arrangements must be approved by the management in advance.
  5. Fees may be revised periodically by the institute with prior notice to parents/guardians.
  6. Examination fees, study material charges, or special session charges, if applicable, must be paid separately.
  7. Failure to maintain regular fee payment may result in cancellation of batch enrollment.

Attendance Policy

  1. Regular attendance is compulsory for all students.
  2. Students must attend classes on the scheduled dates and timings.
  3. Late arrival may disturb the classroom environment and should be avoided.
  4. Parents/guardians should inform the institute in advance if a student is unable to attend classes.
  5. Repeated absenteeism without proper communication may affect batch continuation.
  6. Missed classes due to personal reasons may not always be compensated with extra classes.
  7. Students are responsible for completing missed classwork, homework, and assignments.

Discipline Rules

  1. Students must maintain discipline, respect, and proper behavior inside the classroom.
  2. Respect toward teachers, staff members, and fellow students is mandatory.
  3. Any form of:
    • Misconduct
    • Bullying
    • Abusive language
    • Fighting
    • Disturbance during class
    • Harassment
      will not be tolerated.
  4. Students must follow all instructions provided by teachers and management.
  5. If a student repeatedly violates institute rules or fails to maintain discipline, Scientia Tutorials reserves the right to discontinue the student from the group tuition program.
  6. Students should maintain cleanliness and proper classroom etiquette.

Classroom Conduct

  1. Mobile phones should be kept silent during class hours.
  2. Mobile phone misuse during classes is strictly prohibited.
  3. Students must actively participate in classroom discussions and learning activities.
  4. Eating, shouting, or causing unnecessary disturbance inside the classroom is not permitted.
  5. Students should bring necessary books, notebooks, and study materials regularly.
  6. Any damage caused to classroom furniture, property, or learning equipment must be compensated by the parent/guardian.

Batch Rules

  1. Batch timings and seating arrangements are decided by the institute management.
  2. The institute reserves the right to:
    • Change batch timings
    • Rearrange batches
    • Replace faculty members
    • Modify class schedules
      whenever necessary for academic or administrative reasons.
  3. Students are expected to cooperate with any academic adjustments made by the institute.
  4. Batch transfer requests may be considered based on seat availability.
  5. Scientia Tutorials reserves the right to limit batch size for maintaining quality education.

Assessment & Performance Monitoring

  1. Scientia Tutorials may conduct:
    • Weekly tests
    • Monthly assessments
    • Practice examinations
    • Oral evaluations
    • Performance reviews
  2. Student progress will be monitored regularly by teachers and management.
  3. Parents/guardians may receive updates regarding:
    • Academic performance
    • Attendance
    • Discipline
    • Improvement areas
  4. Students are expected to complete homework, assignments, projects, and practice work sincerely.
  5. Poor academic participation or lack of seriousness toward studies may lead to counseling discussions with parents.

Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

  1. Parents/guardians should maintain regular communication with the institute.
  2. Guardians are requested to monitor the student’s:

  3. Parents should ensure timely payment of tuition fees.

Teacher & Management Responsibilities

  2. Teachers will conduct classes sincerely and professionally.
  3. The management will regularly monitor teaching quality and student feedback.
  4. The institute will try its best to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  5. Academic guidance and performance monitoring will be provided to students whenever required.
  6. Important academic notices and updates may be communicated through:
    • WhatsApp
    • Phone calls
    • SMS
    • Notice boards

Refund & Cancellation Policy

  1. Tuition fees once paid are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  2. Fees cannot be adjusted against another student or future academic session.
  3. If a student voluntarily leaves the tuition program, no refund will be provided.
  4. The institute reserves the right to cancel admission due to:
    • Misconduct
    • Non-payment of fees
    • Indiscipline

  5. In case of unavoidable situations, the institute may revise schedules or temporarily suspend classes with prior notice whenever possible.

Study Materials & Intellectual Property

  1. Study materials provided by Scientia Tutorials are strictly for personal educational use only.
  2. Students are not permitted to:

    • Sell
    • Share
    • Publish
      institute materials without written permission.
  3. Unauthorized distribution of study materials may lead to termination from the tuition program.

Safety & General Policies

  1. Students are expected to maintain proper personal conduct within and around the institute premises.
  2. Scientia Tutorials is not responsible for loss of personal belongings brought by students.
  3. Students should avoid bringing expensive electronic devices or valuables to classes.
  4. The institute reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions whenever necessary.
  5. Continued participation in classes will be considered acceptance of all institute policies.

Batch Policies – Scientia Tutorials

Small Batch Learning Policy

  1. Scientia Tutorials follows a small-group teaching system to ensure better attention, interaction, and academic support for every student.
  2. The maximum number of students allowed in each batch will be 12 students only.
  3. Limited batch size helps teachers:
    • Provide personalized guidance
    • Monitor student performance effectively
    • Conduct better classroom interaction
    • Resolve individual academic difficulties
  4. Admission to batches will be provided based on seat availability.

Monthly Test & Evaluation Policy

  1. Scientia Tutorials will conduct at least one test examination every month for each batch.

  3. Students are expected to attend all tests regularly.

Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) Policy

  1. Scientia Tutorials will organize Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM) every month.
  2. PTMs are conducted to discuss:

    • Test performance

  3. Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to attend PTMs regularly.

Taxation Policy – Group Tuition Services by Scientia Tutorials

1. Role of Scientia Tutorials

  • Scientia Tutorials acts solely as an intermediary platform facilitating engagement between students and independent tutors for Group Tuition services.
  • Scientia Tutorials does not provide tuition services directly unless specifically stated.

2. Taxation and Revenue Recognition

  • Scientia Tutorials shall recognize and be liable for taxation only on the commission, platform fee, or service charges earned by it.
  • Any tuition fees collected from students on behalf of tutors shall not be treated as the income of Scientia Tutorials.
  • Such amounts shall be considered pass-through payments payable to the respective tutors.

3. Tutor’s Individual Tax Responsibility

  • Independent tutors are solely responsible for:
    • Their individual income tax liabilities
    • GST obligations, if applicable
    • Any other statutory or financial compliances required under applicable laws
  • Scientia Tutorials shall not be held responsible for the personal taxation, filings, or financial obligations of individual tutors.

4. Jurisdiction

  • Any dispute arising out of or relating to Group Tuition services shall be subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of courts located in Guwahati, Assam.

5. Acceptance of Terms

By proceeding with registration, payment, or use of Group Tuition services, you acknowledge that:

  • You have carefully read and understood all the above terms and conditions.
  • You agree to accept and comply with the stated policies.
